As the 2015 Deer Hunting Season is upon us, I don't need to remind all our hunters to make firearm safety your number one priority.
Although unintentional firearms fatalities are at an all-time low, one fatality is too many.
So for a quick reminder, here again are some of the fundamentals of firearm safety. The three basic general rules of safe gun handling are:
"Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison" ~ Genesis 27:3
Be safe. Feel free to add any additional safety tips you may have.

So for a quick reminder, here again are some of the fundamentals of firearm safety. The three basic general rules of safe gun handling are:
- Always point the muzzle in a safe direction; never point a firearm at anyone or anything you don't want to shoot.
- Keep your finger off the trigger and outside the trigger guard until you are ready to shoot.
- Keep the action open and the gun unloaded until you are ready to use it.
